Labour and Corporate
Compliance in Kazakhstan
The Labour Code of Kazakhstan imposes mandatory rules on contract form, probation, overtime compensation and dismissal procedure.
The common problem among Chinese companies is not ignorance of the law, but direct application of domestic practice.
Verbal probation periods, reassignment at will, verbal notice on departure — practices that work in China
can trigger labour disputes in Kazakhstan and even affect the renewal of work permits.
The course follows the sequence recruitment — employment — changes — departure — disputes, explaining compliance actions, document requirements
and common errors at each stage. The focus is not a recital of statutes but the concrete decisions of daily operation:
how to sign the contract, how to set probation, how to calculate the foreign employee quota, how to conduct dismissal.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to independently identify high-risk elements in their company's current employment system and specify the documents that need to be added.
Further support can be arranged as an internal policy review.
Syllabus
Seven sessions. Emphasis can be adjusted to the company's concerns, with sessions reduced or deepened.
Mandatory contract terms, written form requirements, boundaries between fixed-term and open-ended contracts
Maximum probation length, written agreement of hiring conditions, compliance boundaries of background checks

The syllabus is the standard version. Where a company has specific scenarios (large-scale recruitment, concentrated onboarding of dispatched staff, remediation of historical employment issues), sequence and depth can be adjusted before the course.
On-site (Astana / Almaty) or online; blended formats available to suit the company
Half day (3–4 hours) or full day (about 6 hours), adjusted to depth and group size
Taught in Chinese with Russian or Kazakh simultaneous/consecutive interpretation
An internal employment policy review can be added; current policy documents must be provided in advance
Delivery method, duration, venue, language and group size are subject to arrangements confirmed by the client. A course confirmation sheet will be provided before the session and executed item by item.
Specific statutes, tax rates and filing conventions will be explained according to the Kazakh regulations in force at the time of the course, with the version date marked in the materials.
