AGRICULTURE & COMMODITIES

Central Asian grain and oilseed output is stable, but suppliers capable of reliable delivery are limited. The problem is usually not at origin but in storage, processing and rail transport.

We verify both origin and processing plant, confirm category, grade, packaging and shipping rhythm first, then move to price negotiation.

01 — WHY IT MATTERS

Whether a wheat train reaches the border
depends on storage and wagon allocation

There is often a gap between the abundant harvest at origin and the number of wagons actually dispatched at the border — with grain depots, processing plants and rail planning in between.

01
Quotes often come from intermediaries, not plants

Quotations often come from trading companies; actual processing capacity and supply sources must be verified at the plant, otherwise the quality of bulk cargo cannot be traced.

02
Quality standards differ

Whether moisture, impurities and protein are tested to Chinese or local standards can shift the same lot by a whole grade.

03
Transport and settlement mismatch

Mismatch between wagon allocation, shipment window and letter of credit terms is the most common — and most preventable — cause of delayed arrival.

02 — SCOPE OF WORK

Scope of work

Engage as a combined mandate,
or as a single workstream.

01
Origin and plant verification

Visits to farms, grain depots and processing plants to verify capacity, inventory, export qualifications and actual shipments over the past three years.

02
Category and standard confirmation

Grade, packaging specification and third-party inspection body determined by the target market's standards.

03
Transport and shipment arrangement

Rail wagon and border transshipment plan; alignment of shipment windows with document milestones.

04
Contract and settlement design

Line-by-line matching of price terms, inspection clauses and letter of credit document requirements.

“

Origin resources are not scarce; what is scarce are the few suppliers able to complete shipment on schedule.
